The Teacher's Retreat 2 bedroom cottage (sleeps 4 – 6) The Teachers Retreat forms part of the Old School House, a beautiful 19th Century School House built in 1875 and once the village primary school. Accessed through the ‘Infants & Girls Entrance’, the terraced cottage retains its charm with the arched windows and modern interior. |
| Accommodation on the ground floor consists of lounge, dining area, shaker style kitchen with wooden floors, shower room with toilet & basin. Upstairs on the first floor are 1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom. The lounge also has a sofa bed (double), if required. | |

Set on the edge of Dartmoor National Park in the picturesque village of Horrabridge. In season, the stone bridge can be a good place to watch for leaping salmon and the expanse of the village green somewhere to relax and view the River Walkham as it cascades over the weir. Local amenities include a post office, village shops, and an award winning fish & chip shop and two pubs! All within 300yards. Within a 10 minute drive you can reach many villages and attractions such as Burrator reservoir, Morwellham Quay, the market town of Tavistock, Princetown and Plymouth with its maritime history and seafront location. All school house guests have access to our garden with sitting-out areas & garden furniture. |
| PLUS: If guests in The Teachers Retreat prefer not to cook they may choose to eat in the main school house restaurant, if they wish, for breakfast or evening dinner (advance booking required).
