At Kelly, education is about the whole person - academic but also cultural, physical and spiritual. We aim to give pupils a choice about their future, not only through qualifications but through development of personal skills and values.
Kelly is fortunate in the splendour of its setting. It is proud of its heritage, whilst it has responded to all that is best in modern developments. It is a friendly school with a great sense of community and a genuine care for the well being of its pupils. It gives a real 'preparation for life'.
Kelly College is a happy thriving community which exists to provide a balanced and challenging environment in which young people, respecting one another, can realise their individual aspirations and potential. A dedicated staff gives pupils a thorough preparation for life. This enables them to enter the world beyond school with a breadth of learning, a sensitivity to others and a vision of their contribution to society.
Kelly is a boarding school which welcomes day pupils and aims to provide a safe and supportive environment where all pupils are able to develop social and other life skills. The House system offers comfortable and relaxed surroundings within a secure and structured community.
Kelly College seeks to provide, within a caring and supportive community, an excellent and fulfilling education, establishing a tangible sense of common purpose by maintaining an environment in which all pupils are happy, secure, confident and values; placing considerable emphasis on providing high levels of pastoral care ensuring that each child receives the individual care and support they need;recognising each pupil's academic potential and other talents and ensuring these are realised through a broad and balanced curriculum and a wide range of co-curricular opportunities; encouraging the development in each pupil of spiritual and moral values, self-discipline, integrity, responsibility and respect for others;promoting independent thinking and enthusiasm for learning;nurturing a positive relationship with parents, Old Kelleians and the wider community;supporting and developing enthusiastic, dedicated staff who feel committed to the School;fostering a friendly and supportive relationship between staff and pupils; producing compassionate and articulate young men and women who have the confidence and independence to flourish beyond Kelly.
We would be delighted to welcome you to Kelly College for a tour of the school and to meet with the Headmaster, Dr Hawley. We also have a whole school Open Morning in October and a Sixth Form Information Morning in November each year and these are opportunities to meet the pupils and teachers and see the school on show. We can organise visits to Kelly at a time to suit you - including Saturday mornings - please just contact Candace Greensted, the Registrar, who can help organise a suitable day for you.
Once you have visited and decided you would like to pursue an application, the first step would be to complete and return our Registration Form - which is downloadable below.
Our Admissions process is designed to gain a well-rounded view of each indivdual applicant and to gain an insight as to whether each child will thrive at Kelly.
The main entry points to Kelly are at 11, 13 and 16, although we regularly have pupils joining in other years, where there is space available.
