Located within Dartmoor National Park in the picturesque village of Horrabridge The old school guest house is the perfect base from which to explore Dartmoor National Park, local towns and villages either by car, on foot, horse or bike.
The award winning market town of Tavistock and its famous Pannier Market is close by (4 miles) and Plymouth town centre is only 10 miles. Enjoy local walks or a few rounds of golf at the local clubs. Or simply relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery on our door step. Dartmoor was designated as a National Park in 1951. It is a beautiful moorland landscape with wooded valleys and wind swept Tors. Over 360 square miles (950 sq. km.) in area and over 600 miles (966km) of public rights of way. About 10 million visits are made each year. Dartmoor is a rich habitat for wildlife, with cattle, sheep, ponies and rabbits roaming the moors. Many archaeological remains can also be found.
