It is a beautiful moorland landscape with wooded valleys and wind swept Tors. Over 360 square miles (950 sq. km.) in area and over 600 miles (966km) of public rights of way. About 10 million visits are made each year. Dartmoor is a rich habitat for wildlife, with cattle, sheep, donkeys and rabbits roaming the moors. Many archaeological remains can also be found. To avoid disappointment we recommend you book early to secure your room for the summer. We have earned some of the highest ratings for Devon and the Southwest.
